Privacy Policy

1. About this Policy
Slide Dish is a mobile application and related website operated by nevr.app s.r.o. ("Slide Dish", "we", "our" or "us"), Břetislavova 1216/2, 500 02 Hradec Králové, Czech Republic. We act as the controller of the personal data described in this Privacy Policy.
Slide Dish helps people decide what to cook through personalized recipe recommendations, a Taste DNA profile, cooking history, and optional AI-powered recipe creation and camera tools.
This Policy explains what data we process, why we process it, who receives it, how long we keep it, and how you can exercise your rights.
2. Personal Data We Collect
2.1 Accounts and guest profiles
Slide Dish's core recipe discovery experience can be used without registration. We assign an identifier to a guest profile so that preferences, saved recipes, and interactions can persist. If you register, we may associate existing guest information with your account.
For registered users, we may process an email address, account and authentication identifiers, a display name if provided by you or your sign-in provider, account settings, language and region preferences, and subscription entitlement and transaction identifiers. We do not require your name for ordinary use.
2.2 Food preferences and Taste DNA
You may provide dietary preferences, food dislikes, allergies, heat tolerance, and other food-related settings. Slide Dish also derives preferences from how you use recipes, including onboarding choices, recipes shown to you, swipes, shortlist additions, saves, cooking actions, repeat cooking, ratings, and feedback. We use this information to develop Taste DNA, a personalized profile of your tastes, and a practical cooking profile.
Your profile is inferred from behavior, and inferences may be incomplete or inaccurate. Viewing a recommendation alone does not necessarily indicate that you like it.
Information about allergies or dietary needs may, depending on the circumstances, reveal information about health. We handle such information under the protections applicable to sensitive data and seek explicit consent where required. Providing this information is optional, but leaving it out may affect filtering and recommendations.
2.3 Recipes, text, and AI requests
When you generate, import, or adapt recipes, we process the ingredients, recipe descriptions, instructions, preferences, and other content you submit. We also process the resulting recipes, images, structured recipe metadata, and information needed to validate and localize recipes.
We may process these inputs through third-party AI and infrastructure providers to perform the features you request. Do not enter unnecessary personal information into recipe prompts.
2.4 Camera photographs
When you choose a camera-based feature, you may submit photographs of ingredients, prepared dishes, or existing recipes. Access to the camera or photo library is subject to the permissions managed by your device.
Camera photographs uploaded to Slide Dish are retained for no longer than 24 hours from upload and are then deleted from our active camera-upload storage. The generated recipe and related non-photographic output may remain after the original photograph is deleted.
We do not automatically publish your original camera photographs in the shared recipe library or use them in marketing without a separate appropriate permission. We cannot guarantee that a photograph is free of incidental personal information; please review it before upload.
The retention practices of any external AI provider processing a photograph must be separately governed and verified under the applicable service arrangement.
2.5 Technical, security, and usage information
We may collect device and operating-system information, app version, IP address, app or device identifiers, crash and diagnostic logs, timestamps, usage events, and security information needed to operate and protect the service.
We do not require precise GPS location for core personalized recipe recommendations. We may infer approximate region from technical information for localization, security, or service operation.
2.6 Subscriptions and communications
We process subscription status, purchase or entitlement identifiers, and limited billing-related data needed to provide Premium access. In-app payments are handled by the relevant app store; we do not receive full payment-card details from these transactions.
If you contact us, we process the information in your support request. If you opt in to marketing messages, we process the contact details and preferences needed to send them.
3. How We Use Data
We process personal data to:
- operate accounts and persistent guest profiles, saved recipes, cooking history, and settings;
- personalize For You, Explore, and other recipe experiences using Taste DNA, dietary constraints, meal context, and cooking behavior;
- recognize ingredients or dishes, generate, import, adapt, translate, validate, and display recipes;
- operate subscriptions, successful-creation credits, and fair-use protections;
- provide customer support and important service communications;
- detect abuse, protect accounts, resolve incidents, and maintain security;
- measure app performance, understand product usage, and improve recommendation quality;
- meet applicable legal requirements; and
- send marketing messages only where permitted by law, obtaining consent where required.
Taste DNA and practical preferences are used to personalize food discovery. This processing is not intended to produce legal or similarly significant effects on you.
4. Legal Bases for Processing
Where the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies, our bases for processing include:
- Contract: operating Slide Dish and delivering the services and personalization requested by the user.
- Legitimate interests: securing the service, preventing abuse, troubleshooting, and improving its reliability and effectiveness, subject to a balancing assessment and applicable rights.
- Consent: where required for optional marketing, non-essential analytics or tracking, or sensitive preference information.
- Legal obligations: complying with applicable law, financial recordkeeping, and lawful requests.
Where health-related information falls under special-category personal data, we require an applicable Article 9 GDPR condition, such as explicit consent. Withdrawal of consent does not make earlier lawful processing unlawful; certain features may be less useful without the relevant preferences.
5. Personalized Recommendations
Slide Dish uses your expressed preferences, learned Taste DNA, dietary exclusions, practical cooking profile, and current meal context to rank recipes. It may also suggest less familiar dishes to help you explore your tastes.
Some preferences are inferred from interaction history rather than directly declared by you. You can change supported preferences in the app and exercise your legal rights using the contact details below.
Recipe suitability, nutritional estimates, and dietary or allergen classifications are informational and may be inaccurate. For food safety obligations, see the Terms of Service. You must independently verify ingredients and product labels when preparing food.
6. AI Features and the Shared Recommendation Library
We may send the content needed for a requested recipe, adaptation, import, or camera operation to external AI service providers acting for our service.
Successfully generated or adapted recipes may, after validation, be added to the shared Recommendation Library so other users can discover them. Shared recipes may include instructions, ingredients, translations, and AI-generated food images.
We do not intentionally publish personal account identifiers, your Taste DNA, your individual cooking history, or your original camera photographs as part of those recipe recommendations. We may retain recipe content without personal identifiers as part of the library even after an account is deleted, subject to applicable legal rights and requests.
Do not provide personal details in recipe titles, descriptions, scans, or other submitted material that could be reproduced in recipe output.
7. Sharing and Service Providers
We may share information with service providers who perform functions such as hosting and databases, authentication, AI processing and image generation, subscription verification, diagnostics, analytics, and customer support. We limit sharing to what is reasonably necessary for the relevant purpose and use appropriate contractual safeguards where required.
We may disclose information where legally required, to protect the security or rights of users and the service, or in connection with a legitimate business reorganization, subject to applicable law.
We do not sell your personal data. We do not authorize our service providers to use your data for unrelated purposes.
8. International Transfers
As an EU-established company, we may use providers that process data in other countries, including outside the European Economic Area. Where required, we rely on recognized safeguards such as adequacy decisions or Standard Contractual Clauses. Contact us for information about applicable safeguards.
9. Retention and Deletion
We retain account, guest, preference, interaction, and cooking records for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the applicable profile and provide the service, unless an applicable deletion request or a legal retention requirement changes that period.
Camera-upload originals are retained for a maximum of 24 hours, as described above. We retain other technical logs only as necessary for security, troubleshooting, service operation, and compliance; exact operational periods may vary. Billing and legal records may be kept for periods required by applicable law.
When data is no longer needed, we delete it or remove personal identifiers, subject to lawful exceptions and backup lifecycle requirements. Non-personally identifying recipe content in the Recommendation Library may persist separately from your account.
10. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction, portability, or object to certain processing. You may withdraw consent where consent is the legal basis. You may also complain to a competent data protection authority, including the Czech Data Protection Authority.
You can delete your registered account using the account-deletion feature in Slide Dish, or request deletion by emailing we@nevr.app. You can also contact us about a guest profile. We may need to verify your identity and may retain limited records where the law requires this.
Deleting the app does not necessarily delete server-held data or cancel a subscription. Please see the Terms of Service for subscription cancellation.
11. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational security measures to protect data against unauthorized access, misuse, alteration, or loss. No system can be guaranteed completely secure.
12. Children's Privacy
Slide Dish is not intended for children younger than 13, or below any higher age at which local law requires parental authorization unless the necessary authorization is in place. We do not knowingly process children's personal information contrary to applicable law. Contact us if you believe such information has been collected.
13. Marketing and Tracking
Where we send optional marketing communications, you can unsubscribe using the provided mechanism or contact us. Essential account or service notifications may still be sent when necessary.
Non-essential analytics, cookies, or similar tracking technologies are used only in accordance with applicable consent and notice requirements.
14. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy as the app, technology, or legal obligations change. We will post the updated version with a revised date and provide additional notice where required.
